T45 Hill End

$1.50

Payable gold was discovered in the Hill End goldfields in mid 1851 and for a while the area was even bigger than the Victorian fields in size and prosperity. By the time of the even larger gold rush in 1872, Hill End was the largest inland settlement in New South Wales. Today the population stands at about one hundred and twenty, a stark contrast from the estimated 8,000 during its peak.
