World Peace Bells are usually located in capital cities, however the Australian World Peace Bell was awarded to Cowra in 1992 in recognition of its long standing contribution to world peace and international understanding.
The bell is made of melted down coins donated by 106 member countries of the United Nations and is housed in Cowra's Civic Square. Everyone is welcome to ring the bell.
